Brogan came upon me as I was searching for knitting patterns on Ravelry.

Brogan: What are you looking for?

Me: Patterns for fingerless gloves.

Brogan: Fingerless gloves? Why?

Me: Because when Braden practices piano in the wintertime his hands get cold. But he needs to feel the keys with his fingers. So I thought a pair of fingerless gloves would do the trick.

Brogan: That sounds kind of dumb, Mom.

Me: What! Why? If your hands were cold while you practiced piano wouldn't YOU want a pair of fingerless gloves?

Brogan: No. I'd just deal with it. Just be a man and deal with it!
